CROIX FADET is cultivated in a unique situation where the gravel bed (the former Charente valley) has a calcareous clay topsoil.
The vines are trained in narrow rows with a limited yield, which, in order to preserve the exceptional quality of the grapes, is combined with careful foliage thinning, green harvesting, and meticulous selection. The Bordelais method used for vinification here, includes a long fermentation period (5 weeks) and thermoregulation.
This elegant union of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon gives a fruity and floral rosé which can be served for all occasions.
Grape varieties: Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Producer: Domaine Claude Thorin
Origin: Mainxe, Charente (France)
