Created four generations ago, Chapt vineyards cover 20 ha of prime Grande Champagne land (AOC Cognac). At the end of the nineties, the oenologist Olivier Chapt decided to produce extremely complex wine on part of the family vineyard in this magnificent calcareous clay 'terroir'. Right from the start, he gave priority to quality in the elaboration of his wines.
100% Sauvignon. Notes of exotic fruit (such as mango, grapefruit, papaya) are the first to appear, followed by floral aromas. A period in oak casks confers a discreet touch of vanilla. This very attractive nose gradually leads us to a full, round and mineral but also fruity palate before a woody finish of refined and subtle elegance.
Ready to drink now but may be kept for many years.
Serve chilled between 10 and 12° C max, with starters, fish, and seafood and also with "white meats"
