Hand-picked, slowly roasted, small and tender...and ready to use. The taste of these peppers combines the sweet sharpness of their deep red flesh with the smoked aroma of the wood-fire roasting.
Only peppers grown and bottled in the area around Lodosa (Navarre) and processed according to very specific rules bear the Piquilla de Lodosa Appellation of Origin label: roasted over a wood fire, hand-peeled and bottled whole, with no additives, water or salt.
These sweet peppers go well with many products, meat, fish and vegetables. They are exquisite served cold, simply marinated in a little olive oil with a touch of garlic and fresh thyme leaves, as a really Mediterranean starter. They can be cut into strips and served with anchovies, sardines, or tuna fillets, or even heated up to accompany meat such as roast or grilled lamb or beef.
