Using vanilla pods : using a pointed knife, slit the pod lengthwise. Scrape the seeds out of the inside. Immerse everything in milk, for example. Allow it to infuse for at least 30 mn, preferably overnight. After use in an infusion, the pod can be used to flavour sugar. Clean the pod, dry it well, and insert it in your canister of powdered sugar.
